Wilhelm Beuermann [1937-2006] was born in Germany 21 March 1937 and was a painter, printmaker and poet. Beuermann studied graphic design at the Werkkunstschule [Art School] Hannover, deepened his studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of J. Friedlander and at the Hochschule der Kunste Berlin with Professor Bachmann and Professor Gonda.
After a scholarship from the Institut Français [French Institute] in 1962, he worked as a freelance painter & in 1970 he became a member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund [German Artists League].
From the 17th exhibition in Hannover in 1969 to the 38th exhibition in Berlin in 1990, he took part in six annual DKB exhibitions. Wilhelm passed away 1 October 2006.
