Claudio Simonetti was born in Rome, 29 January 1929, into a well known family of accomplished artists. From his father he inherited his love for art.
Claudio began his Art studies at the Rime School of Art, where he quickly won his professor's recognition and praise. After these studies, he travelled extensively throughout Italy and France, there he painted from nature and learned from other artists in all the important Art Centres. He still paints and exhibits regularly in Rome, Venice, Naples, Milan and Paris.
His works today expresses the maturity of his talent - he seeks out new expressions in art, Claudio Simonetti's art always sticks to the fundamentals of painting via exquisite drawing, composition and color.
His landscapes of the Italian countryside, his marine paintings of coastal village and the scenes of the canals of Venice, appeal to everyone because of his superb technique and the sense of Mediterranean light that pervades his paintings.
Today his works are in numerous private collections worldwide.
